An Explorer Class ship, Le Jacques-Cartier, along with sister ships Le Champlain and Le Lapérouse, combines epic adventure with comforting luxury. Featuring technology-driven safety features, design and eco initiatives, the ship can safely and sustainably sail into and explore most of the world’s most remote ports. Not only does this offer guests a choice of fascinating itineraries, but it also delivers a level of luxury rarely seen in expedition cruising. The interiors are designed with French flair and contemporary chic and with just 184 guests and 118 crew, the service levels are high, and the ambience is personal. 

Choose from 92 spacious upscale staterooms and suites with seating area, private balcony, ensuite shower and separate WC. Staterooms sleep up to two with standard amenities including Wi-Fi, climate control, on-demand video and Diptyque bathing products. Suites can accommodate up to four and include priority boarding, butler service and daily snacks. The Owner’s Suite is the most prestigious accommodation, featuring residential style living, private concierge service and a hot tub on the terrace.

Head to the Blue Eye for a truly unique underwater lounge experience, where guests can sip a drink while observing the marine life at close quarters. The dining options are superb with formal French dining at Le Nautilus and more casual fare at the Grill Restaurant overlooking the pool deck. Onboard, guests can relax in the Main Lounge, Panoramic Lounge or on the pool deck, where the counter-current system allows guests to enjoy an energising swim. Live entertainment and music are provided and there is a spa with a sauna, fitness studio and hair salon. The crew includes expert destination guides and naturalists and the theatre doubles as both a presentation and entertainment space. There is a full programme of shore excursions and offshore Zodiac excursions and activities, with easy boarding via the adjustable hydraulic platform.
