Around a 30-minute drive from Yosemite National Park’s northwest Big Oak Flat entrance, Firefall Ranch is an upscale 300-acre retreat amid the meadowland and forested hills of this stunning part of the world. The Ranch stands on what was once a stop on the former stagecoach route to the park, back in the 1870s. Today, Firefall is a welcoming gateway to Yosemite offering guests 55 standalone Cottages and Villas, pool area, restaurant and tavern.
The Ranch offers a variety of spacious One- and Two-Bedroom Cottages or Three Bedroom Villas, which are attractively landscaped across this mountain resort. All include living space with an indoor/outdoor gas fireplace and private furnished deck. Full of stylish rustic charm, the chic décor and furnishings include comfy beds, climate control, Wi-Fi, custom artwork, Bluetooth speaker, Keurig coffee maker, kettle, microwave, fridge, safe, board games and heated bathroom floors.
One Bedroom Cottages feature an open plan sleeping and seating area and can accommodate between 2-4 guests, while Two Bedroom Cottages include a master bedroom, second bedroom with twin or queen bed, sitting room with Queen sofa bed and can sleep between 4-6. For large families and groups of 4-8 guests, the Three Bedroom Villas include a master bedroom, second bedroom with Queen bed, loft space with twin beds and Queen sofa bed in the large living room. There is also a kitchenette with breakfast nook, and two bathrooms. For those with mobility issues, accessible Cottages and Villas are available.
For relaxed and casual dining, the stylish Tavern serves delicious mountain fare, craft beers, and fine wines. It’s a great venue to catch up on the day’s adventures, while sports fans can watch all the big games. For fine dining without the fuss, head to Yova Restaurant for a Californian take on traditional South American grilling techniques, with expertly paired wines. There’s also a General Store for coffee, grab ‘n go lunches, snacks and ice cream.
When not exploring the treasures of Yosemite, guests can enjoy hiking trails, daily child and adult activities, saltwater pool and hot tub, outdoor games, nightly fireside S’mores, complimentary bicycles, daily wine tastings and a cosy guest lounge with fireplace. Guests can also access the spa at sister property Rush Creek and the Ranch can also arrange guided Yosemite tours and excursions from driving tours to more adventurous hikes, biking, rafting and snowshoeing trips.
