Trujillo Vacations

Founded in 1534 by the Spanish, Trujillo’s fine colonial buildings create an elegant city, its colorful buildings and churches contrasted against the arid mountains beyond. While the city makes for an interesting few hours of sightseeing, it is the pre-Incan archaeological sites in the surrounding countryside that are the real draw, including Chan Chan and the Moche Huacas del Sol y de la Luna.
