Mid-January is a great time to visit Courchevel Moriond because it's when the snow conditions are typically at their best. It also means you'll avoid the peak times and prices that come with holidaying around Christmas, New Year or the February half-term break. March and April are also excellent months to ski Courchevel 1650, as the conditions are a little warmer and the longer days give you more of a chance to enjoy the slopes.

Meeting up with the ski school couldn’t be easier. We use the English-speaking New Generation, who meet underneath the Ariondaz télécabine near the Sainte-Agathe drag lift. They have many years of experience in Courchevel 1650 and teach beginners on the gentle slopes of Granges and Marquis, but they can take more advanced skiers to the fabulous off-piste runs in Les Avals. Proper coaching can rapidly improve your skiing – and the quality of your vacation – so it's well worth looking into for those who are less experienced.
