Your Botswana adventure begins with a journey to the iconic Jack’s Camp, a timeless safari camp set in the vast and otherworldly Makgadikgadi Pans. After arriving at Maun, you’ll take a scenic flight followed by a short drive to the camp, where you’ll be welcomed into the opulent Bedouin-style tents. Each suite boasts 1940s-inspired décor, complete with Persian rugs, vintage trunks, and a private deck overlooking the pans.
Day 1: Spend your first afternoon unwinding after your journey. Enjoy a traditional afternoon tea followed by a sundowner drive into the pans, where the horizon seems infinite. As the stars emerge, marvel at one of the most pristine night skies on Earth.
Days 2–3:
Immerse yourself in the unique ecology of the Makgadikgadi with a range of expertly guided activities.
In the morning: Venture out on quad bikes (dry season) to explore the salt flats or walk alongside the San Bushmen, learning about their ancient way of life.
In the afternoon: Enjoy game drives to spot resident meerkats, elusive brown hyenas, and seasonal migrations of zebra and wildebeest.
In the evenings, return to camp for sumptuous dinners in the atmospheric dining tent, followed by stargazing or storytelling around the fire.

Botswana’s winter is May to October when the weather is hot during the day (not stiflingly hot) and cold at night. Botswana's summer months (November to April) can be hot and humid and there is a chance of rain. Botswana has one rainy season which runs between mid-December and runs through to mid-March.
