This four-hour experience starts early to avoid the heat of the day. Start with a quick cup of tea at 6am before beginning the climb with your guide for the morning, a naturalist with a wealth of knowledge.
We recommend you bring along cool, light clothing, a cap and sunscreen as well as your camera to capture the impressive views. A hearty breakfast will be served upon your return to the lodge, but if you are feeling hungry before you leave, please let the hotel know and they can arrange something for you.
Not for the faint hearted, be prepared for a steep climb. The trek takes around two-hours, walking through forest and over giant boulders to reach the peak. Enjoy the wildlife as you climb, the amazing flora and fauna of Sri Lanka surrounding you.
Upon reaching the top of the mountain, delight in the incredible views. Spend time here taking in the serene landscape and the fresh air of this tranquil setting.
