At a Glance
Take a two hour drive from Hanoi to the idyllic Lan Ha Bay that is located in the Halong Bay area. Here you can board the Ginger, a cruise ship that blends contemporary accents with Indochine style, for a luxurious one night stay on the water. Spend the day relaxing on the sun deck as you take in the mesmerising sights or enjoy a well-deserved spa treatment before docking at the lush Cat Ba Island where you can bike around to explore a local village. Return to the ship for an immersive evening cooking class with the boat’s chef. As dusk falls, sip a drink on the top deck as you watch the stars come out or join the crew for some evening squid fishing fun.
Engage in a Tai Chi session on the sun deck early the next morning to start your day off right. Then take a morning hike to Frog Lake before adjourning back to the boat for a sumptuous breakfast before you depart for the airport to return home.

The best time to visit Northern Vietnam is from February to April and September to November avoiding the heat and the rain. The official peak season in Vietnam is from September to April as these months see the least rain. December to February are the cooler months. May to September is the rainy season with the most rain failing in July and August and typhoons are possible.
