Acting as one of the four largest academies during the Song Dynasty, the Songyang Academy is built during the Northern Wei Dynasty circa 386-534 AD at the northern foot of the Songshan Mountain. The academy prepared students during the era for the imperial examination.
Afterwards, we continue into the Songyue Temple Pagoda, which was built in the year of 520 and is known as the oldest brick Buddhist pagoda in the country.
