A landmark of Eureka’s historic Old Town, Carter Houses Inns is spread across several Victorian buildings and includes two private cottages. The vibe is homely and comfortable, with indulgent touches that include in-room fireplaces and Jacuzzi soaking tubs. Ideally placed for exploring the rugged Pacific coastline and Redwood groves, Carter House Inns is within easy walking distance to downtown Eureka and the famous Carson Mansion.
All accommodation includes Wi-Fi, flat screen TV, Keurig coffee/tea maker, bath products, ceiling fan, climate control and hairdryer. There are 23 rooms and suites in the flagship building, Hotel Carter, with a further 3 rooms and 2 suites in Carter House. Entry level Really Nice Rooms include a Queen bed with the option for a fireplace and Jacuzzi tub. Book a Junior Suite to guarantee both. Two Victorian cottages, Carter and Bell, include a full kitchen, Jacuzzi tubs and feature fireplace. While Carter Cottage has been designed as a retreat for couples, Bell Cottage sleeps up to six guests in three bedrooms.
Rates include breakfast and guests can choose to dine at Restaurant 301 which is open Thursday to Sunday evenings, while the bar lounge is open seven days a week and has a happy hour. Bar snacks are also available from Tuesday to Saturday evening. There are plenty of other dining options within a 10-minute walk of the property.
