From Damaraland fly to the heart of the Skeleton Coast to enjoy three nights at Hoanib Valley Camp. Located in the stark Kaokoland landscape, this area has only recently become accessible to travellers, offering a true wilderness experience unlike any other. Surrounded by towering mountains, vast landscapes, dry river beds and sand dunes, this area is home to desert wildlife including elephant, rhino and giraffe, as well as being home to some of the last remaining nomadic Himba tribes. Learn about how the different wildlife species survive and thrive in such harsh conditions and meet the local Himba families to learn about their local traditions.

For your next stop, you will enjoy a scenic flight over the desert towards the coastline where you will embark on two nights at the distinctly designed Shipwreck Lodge. Designed to resemble the shipwrecks which scatter the coastline, the newly completed lodge is the only luxury property in the area offering a unique insight to this raw and rugged coastline. Enjoy game drives into the Skeleton Coast National park, 4x4 excursions to the Hoanib river delta, visit the Karimona shipwrecks and discover the rich desert wildlife that inhabits the Hoarusib River. The beaches are strewn with whale bones and endless remains of shipwrecks. While magical, this area is stark and eerie and unlike anywhere else.

For your final three nights you will be flown to the private Ongava reserve located on the western border of Etosha National Park. Your days here will be wildlife focused, enjoying guided game drives and morning bush walks. The reserve is home to healthy black and white rhino populations as well as good cat populations including leopard and cheetah. Spend your time on the private reserve or enjoy a shared game drives into Etosha National Park famed for its vast salt pan and endless waterholes which teem with wildlife. Enjoy bush dinners under the stars and share stories with guests around a crackling camp fire.

Namibia can be visited all year round however the best time to visit is from April to September as the temperature is tolerably cool, especially at night and there will be no sign of rain. From May to September the increasingly thirsty animals gather at waterholes, making it the best time to go to Etosha for game viewing in particular.
