Whale watching from Snaefellsnes
The Snæfellsnes Peninsula in the west of Iceland is regarded as one of the best places to observe orca whales in their natural habitat. In the summer, you may spot an array of other whale species too, including minke and humpback whales.

This experience will take you to the waters around Snaefellsnes where ocean giants swim in the shadow of the magnificent Snæfellsjökull Glacier. You will head out with a professional guide, and make sure to keep an eye out for the killer whales that inhabit the waters of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula as they tend to breach just metres away from your boat. You may encounter these orcas during both the winter and summer, but a visit during the summer will increase your chances of spotting other whale species like humpback whales, sperm whales, pilot whales, Minke whales, dolphins, and, with great luck, even blue whales, as well as a range of birdlife.
